Nike collaborated with designer Todd Bratrud for the release of Nike Skateboarding Dunk Hi Premium dubbed as “Brain Wreck”. It will be exclusively sold at Familia Skateshop in Minneapolis. A media event will be held on the day of the release, with the usual party and good bags. Speaking of, the good bags will include a skate deck that matches the “Brain Wreck” design. It just seem tome a huge contradiction to have a name for a collection like “Brain Wreck” and the collection it speaks of just evoke calm, peace and simplicity.
That aside, this features a grey suede colorway with a matching grey Nike logo Swoosh. The words “Brain Wreck” is printed over the heel and pink accents. More details can be seen in the lining and insole. If you interested in this pair, you better head on to this address:

Fresh from Beaverton, these Nike sneakers are somewhat of a deviancy from all other Nike kinds as some experts would opine. Released for the Winter collection, this pair features purple suede and hemp in Mexican “Zarape” blanket pattern for the upper. The same pattern is also used in the heel tab while the sole has a tan and brown colorway. Another unique feature would be the brown liner with a criss-crossing embroidery. Only Nike would think of that! The laces are inspired by boat shoe laces with the square, brown leather it uses.

Oh, here’s the perfect pair to go trick or treating. Unlike its theme, this collection doesn’t look like a B-movie. The theme detailing is gorgeous with just the right amount of every color all through out the upper. I thought the colorway is pretty amazing, too.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Day of the Dead” collection has gotten some really good reviews. It features a Black base while the intended contrast with bright colors such as purple, orange, and green certainly worked for this shoe. But more than aesthetics, it kept faithful to the theme of the collection it was being released in. For glow-in-the-dark-sneakers fans, you’re in for a nice surprise with this model.
These are yet to be released but expect it to be soon. One thing is sure, it can’t be released AFTER Halloween!

I personally thought this was brilliant! I have long been a fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s collaborations and seeing these just blew me away. Amazing!
I found this customized pair over at YoaKustoms. Obviously, the artist was inspired by the film and therefore went to incorporate these in his sneakers. Edward Scissorhands’ portrait looked striking but disturbing as well. Anyone familiar with the movie would say there is an eerie accuracy here that is brilliant but at the same time disconcerting because of the deep scars that resulted from Edward’s own disability. The tongue tag features a yellow butterfly which was an ubiquitous element in the movie posters.

Macropus Lite QS is a Native American inspired design with boat shoe laces. This pair of sneakers reminds me of a Mexican blanket pattern. I also love the contrasting dark brown color on its liner with a criss-cross embroidery. It gives you a homey feel.

Here is a sneak preview of the new colorway Nike has added to the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 due to release in 2010. The new colorway which features Swan and Sport Red will be marketed towards the women segment. But as early as now, buzz has it that this model could easily pass for a unisex positioning.
In this model, the Swan colorway dominates the upper with the Sport Red accentuating the heel panel, the Nike logo swoosh border, and the tongue logo. It also features a sport red outsole which definitely make for a great contrast. The side panels and toe box are highlighted with mesh-like areas.
It will only be a few months away before 2010 so watch out for it!

The Nike Blazer High LE “Try-On” is the latest addition to the Nike “Try-On” Series, initially released at the beginning of the year. With the release of the winterized Nike ACG Blazer intended for the Winter collection, this model is more traditional and more tame.
